Overview
Here you will find a list of academic resources offered at Questrom and throughout BU’s campus. In addition to the resources listed below, Boston University offers online resources through the Educational Resource Center (ERC). If you would like a program that is offered at the ERC brought to Questrom, please let us know!
The Grad Center’s advisors are here to advise and support Questrom graduate students. To find your academic advisor at Questrom visit the Student Link, select “Academics” and then “Academic Advising.” Our professional academic advisors are here for students who have questions or concerns about:
- course planning
- degree requirements
- concentration options
- academic performance
- personal and life issues
- any other situation where a student may feel they need support
Students may make an appointment with their advisor by calling 617.353.2673 or emailing questromgradcenter@bu.edu. During registration, our office holds walk-in advising periods, which will be announced in your program’s weekly update.
The Grad Center offers Writing Assistance for our students. The COM Writing Center and the ERC Writing Center are also open to all BU grad students.
The Grad Center collects a database of peer tutors to share as a resource for other students. The Grad Center does not match students with peer tutors or have guidelines about frequency of service or compensation. Frequency of services and compensation shall be negotiated between peer tutor and tutee.
It is important that you find a peer tutor that is a good match. All peer tutors have received an A- or better in each course. When you email a peer tutor from the list below, we suggest you consider asking them the following questions:
- Why did you decide to become a peer tutor?
- What is your style when tutoring?
- How do you approach a situation where this style is not successful?
