The Assistant Director, Specialty Programs, Math Finance Lead will have primary responsibility for the program management, operations and student services for the Master of Science in Math Finance (MSMF) program. Reporting to the Director of Special Programs and Initiatives and working closely with both the Faculty Director of the Mathematical Finance Program and the Career Coach, the Assistant Director will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the student experiences for upward of 200+ students enrolled in the full time MSMF Program. Responsibilities include program management, operations, academic student support and managing student events such as orientation, commencement activities, and community building events. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for working with one or more other specialty programs. In addition, the Assistant Director will be assigned other projects as they relate to all graduate students and share in general administrative responsibilities as a member of the Graduate Academic & Career Development Center team.
Masters Degree required. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and able to multitask. One to three years of experience in counseling, student services or higher education administration. Prior event planning experience preferred. Some evening and occasional weekend work required. Domestic and international travel, though occasional, will be required.
