You have been admitted to one of the most prestigious universities – and business schools – in the country. I hope that you will decide to join us and take advantage of the breadth of opportunities and resources available to you at Boston University. First and foremost, you will be taught by internationally renowned faculty. Many of the professors are or have been high-level executives and continue to be leading researchers in their fields. In fact, in 2012, Boston University was invited to join the Association of American Universities, an elite organization of leading research universities in the United States and Canada; in becoming the 62nd member, BU is one of only four universities invited to join the group since 2000.
You will have access not only to the distinguished faculty at the Questrom School of Business, but also to those throughout the rest of Boston University. Many of our students take advantage of BU’s excellence across a vast array of disciplines by completing a dual degree or a minor in a variety of subjects, including communications, hospitality administration, international relations, and the fine arts.
BU offers valuable experiences outside the classroom as well. To get the most out of your undergraduate experience, I encourage you to get involved. Perhaps you will join one of the nearly 500 student organizations run by our Student Activities Office. You might be interested in the Community Service Center, which provides opportunity to give back to your new community through more than a dozen different programs, including week-long service trips to places such as Puerto Rico, San Francisco, and Florida; in 2013, the Community Service Center encompassed 4,600 volunteers completing over 100,000 hours of service! You can further expand your horizons through one of the 75+ study abroad programs available in more than 30 cities on six continents.
The purpose of Questrom’s Undergraduate Academic & Career Development Center (UDC) is to assist you with planning the educational track that is most effective for you.
