Cecilia Yudin is Director of the Center for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at the Boston University Questrom School of Business, and a Lecturer in the Department of Management & Organizations.
With over 16 years of professional experience in the Arts, Non-Profit Administration, Higher Education, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and a guiding motto of “Lift as You Climb”, Cecilia is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to thrive and manifest the solutions their communities need.
Born in London, England, Cecilia spent her childhood in the Caribbean, before coming to Massachusetts to study the French horn. She is a “Triple Terrier”, and holds a Social Impact MBA with High Honors in Leadership & Organizational Transformation, a Master of Science in Arts Administration, and a Bachelor of Music in Brass Performance. Cecilia is a trained mediator with certificates in Transformational DEI and Intercultural Competence, is a current member of the Next Generation Executive Program, and is an alum of the Social Justice Training Institute.

Barbara Conant, (she/her/hers), 617-353-1634
Barbara is a Boston local, having grown up in East Boston and Chelsea. She manages the daily operations of the Center, along with communications and identity-based programming. She has a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from BU Wheelock and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Influenced by the works of bell hooks, Barbara leads with curiosity and care.
Outside of the Center, Barbara enjoys baking, playlist curating, strength training, and spending time with her partner and their cat Cleopatra.

Dionne Lomax, (she/her/hers), 617-353-3424
Dionne Lomax is a Lecturer in the Markets, Public Policy, and Law Department at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and holds a courtesy appointment at Boston University’s School of Law, where she is also a member of the Health Law Faculty. She teaches Business Law and Legal and Regulatory Risk in Questrom’s undergraduate and MBA programs.
With a passion for mentorship and fostering inclusive learning environments, Dionne serves as a Faculty in Residence for the Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Questrom. In this role, she has organized academic mentoring events, advised students awarded scholarships for summer programs, and coached multiple undergraduate and MBA teams for prestigious case competitions.
Dionne’s teaching philosophy emphasizes real-world application, engaging students through skills-based simulation exercises that bring legal concepts to life. Prior to joining Boston University, she was an antitrust partner at two national law firms, where she advised Fortune 500 clients on complex business transactions before the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and State Attorneys General.
Dionne earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude from Howard University with a B.B.A. in finance. She is the recipient of the 2020 Broderick Award for Faculty Contribution to Student Learning and Experience, was recognized by BU Today as one of Boston University’s “Unsung Heroes of the Pandemic,” and received the 2023 James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award.
Born and raised in Ohio, Dionne loves to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey Allen, (he/his/his), 617-353-3424
Jeffrey W. Allen, Ph.D (“Jeff”) is an award winning faculty member in his 24th year of “stewardship” in the Questrom School of Business. In 2020, Jeff was the recipient of the Questrom School of Business Beckwith Teaching Award for outstanding teaching voted on by the students. In 2021, Professor Allen was awarded both the Boston University Faculty Advising Award for his tireless work in advising/mentoring students as well as the 2021 Questrom School of Business Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award for his extensive work in the area of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. A faculty in residence in the Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Questrom School of Business at Boston University the last 4 years where his work focuses on student success academically, socially, emotionally and professionally in their journey through school and beyond.
In both 2018 and 2011, Jeff received the Broderick Award for Service to the Undergraduate program. He has been the mentor for BU Posse 1 (2008-2012) and BU Posse 7 (2014-2018) both from the Atlanta, Georgia area and is the coordinator for the Information Systems concentration. Jeff has worked and consulted widely with such organizations as IBM, Fidelity Investments, Accenture, Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC), Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, AT&T, Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, Georgia State University, Indiana University and the National Football League to name a few.
Born in Athens, Georgia where he completed his undergraduate degree in Management information Systems at the University of Georgia (Home of the “BullDawgs”). The holder of an MBA in Finance, Master of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance and doctorate degree in Decision Sciences, Jeff works hard to make sure students walk away from his Information Systems classes having acquired “Skills to Pay the Bills” and making sure they are well positioned for both internships and full-time career opportunities.
Jeff prides himself in his classroom teaching, about which he states “I feel the classroom should be an intellectual haven that encourages students to give their honest opinions and to think about the world of technology and how it affects their lives in a much more critical sense. The classroom should not only be educational, but it needs to be a fun, dynamic atmosphere to capture and retain the interest of the students.”
