Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program offers students forgiveness the remaining balance on their federal loans after they have made 120 (10 years) payments under a qualifying repayment plan. However, the loan will only be forgiven if students meet all PSLF Program eligibility conditions. Learn More!
PSLF Qualifications
- Be employed full time by a U.S., federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization
- Have borrowed Federal Direct Loans (or have consolidated other federal student loans into a Direct Loan)
- Make 120 qualifying payments under an income-driven repayment plan
