Logos
The Graduate Council logo must be included on every promotional material for any events to which total or partial funding was granted by the Council. The use of the Boston University logo in any of its forms is limited to institutional materials. Any other use should be approved by the Marketing department of the Questrom School of Business.

Step 1
Create a new Student Organization with the Student Activities Office (SAO)
Any new student organization must have:
- Four student officers (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary)
- An advisor (full time or part time exempt staff member)
- A membership roster with at least 10 members
- A constitution with rules and policies to govern the organization
Note: The SAO typically sends notices regarding submitted applications approximately two weeks after the submission deadline.
Step 2
Obtain approval by the Student Organizations Board
Any new graduate Questrom student organization must receive support from the Graduate Council. In order to receive support, the new student organization must be recognized (i.e., approved) by the Student Organizations Board. The process for recognizing a new student organization is described in Part 3, Article III of the Graduate Council constitution, which states that the new student organization:
- shall already have registered with the Student Activities Office
- shall present the overall goal to the (Student Organizations Board) representatives
- shall present a membership list to the Vice President of Governance
Once recognized, the new student organization receives a seat on the Student Organizations Board and becomes eligible to request funds from the Questrom Graduate Council.
