><p>The Boston University Questrom School of Business Health Sector Alumni Association (\u201cthe Association\u201d) is an informal association of alumni of the Health Sector Program of the Boston University Questrom School of Business who have graduated from the Health Sector Management Program or work within the health sector.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The health sector is broadly defined as including all of health service delivery, bio-pharma, medical device and diagnostic companies, and all elements of insurance, consulting and other activities related to the sector.<\/p>\n<p>Any alumni of Questrom who fall within this description shall be considered members of the Association.\u00a0 Such membership carries no formal role in the governance of the Association, but entitles such individuals to attend and take part in alumni activities offered by the Health Sector Management Program.<\/p>\n<p>The HSM Alumni community is vibrant and active. \u00a0Each year alumni participate in the alumni mentoring program as well as attend speed networking events, the Health &amp; Life Sciences Conference and other opportunities to connect current students to the greater HSM community. \u00a0Alumni go on to work at a variety of employers including athenahealth, Biogen, CVS Health, Deloitte, IQVIA, PwC, Sanofi, and Vertex.\u00a0 HSM alumni are a vital part of our community and are active participants in the student experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" management within different sectors of the healthcare market; health plans, provider networks, charitable organizations, consultancies, for profits and nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p>Included in her many accomplishments, Ms. Eltonhead developed innovative behavioral health systems for a major health plan, launched Medicare and Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations, measured and identified best practices, managed physician and provider networks, oversaw behavioral health and medical specialty services, developed and managed successful grants and helped improve access to and improve the quality of care.<\/p>\n<p>Her positions included being COO for Health Care Without Walls, a charitable organization that provides support to homeless women in Boston, being COO for New England Quality Care Alliance, a large physician network in Eastern Massachusetts, working as a Principal and subject matter consultant to CMS at MITRE, and various clinical operations positions at Tufts Health Plan, contributing towards quality improvement and medical cost management. At HealthMetrics Partners, a company that measures and identifies healthcare best practices, her work included developing and leading large projects such as examining WIC and prenatal services in multiple States, business development and strategy and now being a Senior Advisor. In addition, Ms. Eltonhead was the Administrator for medical specialties at a large multisite group medical practice, the Executive Director for a network of independent community physician practices and the Executive Director for a network of Massachusetts Medicaid providers.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Eltonhead is currently a consultant for SOAR, a volunteer, nonprofit organization that connects retired executives with greater Boston area small and medium sized nonprofits.
