You need an AD account to access lab computers and to access Questrom-specific applications and websites such as Questrom Tools.<\/p>\n<p>To create your AD account:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your web browser and go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/computing\/accounts\/ad\/smg\">https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/computing\/accounts\/ad\/smg<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cLog in\u201d button<\/li>\n<li>In the two fields provided, enter your BU login name (email address without the \u201c@bu.edu\u201d) and Kerberos password and click \u201cLog in\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Confirm your current Kerberos password and click \u201cContinue\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Read the short warning about keeping your Kerberos password private, then check the box to indicate you have read the warning and click \u201cContinue\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>You should come to a page that says \u201cYour request has been approved.\u201d This message is the only confirmation you will receive. Your AD account will be available soon. If you are having any difficulty, please contact the helpdesk at questromhelp@bu.edu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>What is Questrom Tools?<\/h4>\n<p>Questrom Tools (<a href=\"https:\/\/smgtools.bu.edu\/\">questromtools.bu.edu<\/a>) is a Learning Management System designed to assist instructors, students, and researchers in the creation and use of websites for teaching and collaborative purposes. A Questrom Tools course site is created for all Questrom courses shortly before the beginning of each semester and registered students are automatically added to their appropriate course sites.
