Complete Your Academic Pre-work
All incoming PEMBA students will be added to a course in our Blackboard learning management system for the Accounting core course titled “Pre-Work – PEMBA Spring 2023”.
For those of you who are registered for AC711 this Spring, this is a required course! Please take some time over the next month to log into the Blackboard site and complete your required academic pre-work to prepare you for your Spring accounting course. You should allow for about 15-20 hours of total prep time. For those with prior background, the time required should be less.
The deadline for completion is Sunday, January 22nd at 11:59pm.
If you will not be taking AC711 this Spring, you may either use this course as an accounting refresher or ignore it.
Case Prep for LAUNCH
During LAUNCH, Professor Greg Stoller will introduce Questrom’s Case Competition, walking you through a short case study discussion and providing background on the competitions.
In advance of this session, please:
- Watch this YouTube or Non-YouTube video
- Watch the TV interview
- Read the Case Study
Set up your BU Email
It is essential for you to have a BU e-mail account to use any Questrom-specific communication and computing resources required for pre-work. We will be sending out “Create your email” notification prompts on Wednesdays and Fridays.
COMPLETE YOUR NEW STUDENT INFO FORM
It’s important for us to get to know you! This will help us gather information to place you in teams and prepare materials for LAUNCH and beyond.
Please take 10-15 minutes to fill out the New Student Information Form as soon as possible.
Activate Your Active Directory
The Active Directory allows you to login to BU computers.
BU Welcomes Students With Disabilities
If you have disability or accommodations needs, please contact access@bu.edu or visit bu.edu/disability. We recommend reaching out now before the semester begins, as query processing can take several weeks.
Off Campus Housing
Finding an apartment is one of the most common stressors for our incoming graduate students. That’s why we partnered with VeryApt, a real estate technology company, to build a personalized housing portal for our programs. For more information, visit the housing portal page.
