Abroad<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Questrom\u00a0students study abroad for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To expand their professional networks.<\/li>\n<li>To strengthen proficiency in another language.<\/li>\n<li>To experience different perspectives on the world, education, and management practices.<\/li>\n<li>To gain competitive advantage in the job market by demonstrating an awareness of a culture beyond their own and of the global economy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To accommodate this desire to explore the world, Boston University sponsors one of the largest study abroad programs in the country with diverse offerings in more than thirty cities on six continents.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>When Questrom\u00a0Students Study Abroad<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students begin planning for study abroad early in their time at BU, especially if they plan to study in a non-English speaking country and need to learn another language. The application deadline for programs occurs early in the semester prior to departure: early fall for spring, early spring for summer, and mid-spring for fall. Though many students study abroad in the spring of their junior years after completing Core, there is no one right time to go. Advisors in the UDC are available to assist students in planning for study abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-hl9oz-a5fd0b6fc82a68825eb05f2189d7d03d\">\n#top .av_textblock_section.av-hl9oz-a5fd0b6fc82a68825eb05f2189d7d03d .avia_textblock{\ncolor:#795713;\n}\n<\/style>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-hl9oz-a5fd0b6fc82a68825eb05f2189d7d03d '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock av_inherit_color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h4><strong>Where Questrom\u00a0Students Study Abroad<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Questrom\u00a0students choose a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/abroad\/find-programs\/by-destination\/\">variety of programs<\/a>, not necessarily specific for Questrom students,\u00a0through which to study abroad. Courses taken and internships completed through BU Study Abroad transfer to BU directly, counting for course requirements as appropriate and toward students\u2019 BU GPAs.
