Graduate & PhD Ceremony Participation Form

Register for Convocation by completing the Convocation Ceremony Participation and Name Pronunciation Form and telling us how you would like your name pronounced as you process across the stage. To confirm you are registered for Convocation, please check your BU Student Portal. All members of the Questrom Graduate Programs Class of 2026 (January 2026, May 2026 and August 2026 graduates) are invited to participate in the Questrom Convocation Ceremony.

Regalia

In order to participate in ceremonies during Commencement Weekend, you will need University-approved regalia. Barnes & Noble at Boston University is the approved supplier for caps and gowns to graduates. Master’s candidates purchase their keepsake regalia sets and doctoral candidates rent theirs. All Questrom graduates will receive a complimentary Questrom Class of 2025 branded stole at Convocation check-in.

Honors cords, for eligible students, will be available the first two days of final exams in the Atrium. If you are unable to pick up your cords, you will receive them when you check in at Convocation. For further information regarding regalia, contact Barnes & Noble at BU (regalia@bu.edu).

Graduation Honors

Graduate students graduate with honors based on their final “School GPA” (your GPA for your Questrom graduate-level courses) according to the following GPA designations:

3.70+   – High Honors
3.55-3.69    – Honors

Have you accepted a job offer?

Be sure to let your career coach know about your job offer! All graduate students will receive a link to complete the employment survey from their program advisors or career coach.
