Walk-in Advising Hours for Study Abroad
COURSES ABROAD
The UDC will have walk-in advising year round! You can also set up an appointment to speak to an advisor via Handshake!
During these meetings you can learn how the courses you take while abroad will fit with graduation plans and where Questrom students usually go.
ABROAD PROGRAM LOGISTICS
Make an appointment with a study abroad program manager!
During these meetings you can learn about the application process, each abroad location, the internships available, the visa paperwork involved, etc.
Scheduling an appointment
Set up an appointment on Handshake. While Kelly Sachleben is the primary advisor for Study Abroad, all advisors in the UDC can answer questions about overseas study. If you’re not in town, you may set up an appointment to talk via Zoom.
Completing the Advisor Portion of the Study Abroad Application
List the academic advisor with whom you meet most frequently as your advisor on the application.
For the Advisor Support of Participation, meet with a UDC advisor within a year of submitting your application to review how studying abroad fits into your plans for graduation. Anytime after the meeting, you can “nominate” your advisor through the online application to complete your Advisor Form. If you can’t remember the name of the advisor, please nominate Kelly Sachleben (kellycs@bu.edu).
