Dean’s Message to our Global Community
As a school with a focus on global business, we celebrate our students from countries around the world. We will always seek to add students to our community who bring a diversity of backgrounds and experiences because we understand the importance of understanding different cultures and societies to become effective business leaders and responsible citizens of the world. International Student Scholars Office (ISSO)

ISSO also holds a brief orientation in late-August/early-September. More information about international student orientation with be forthcoming.
BU HUB

Language Resources
If English is not your first language and you wish to practice when you arrive, BU offers a free student-lead language program the Language Link . If you are interested in practicing your spoken and written English before you begin your graduate program you may wish to enroll in the Center for English Language Orientation Program, CELOP. If you are seeking additional help beyond these resources, reach out to the Grad Center upon arrival.
On-Campus Housing
On-campus graduate housing provides students the option to apply for both shared living and private apartments.
In order to access the graduate housing portal, students will need to create their BU email and login information.
To create your BU login, students must confirm their attendance by submitting their first deposit and their declaration of intent. A link to create your BU credentials will be emailed to you shortly thereafter.
Off-Campus Housing
Finding an apartment is one of the most common stressors for our incoming graduate students. That’s why we partnered with VeryApt, a real estate technology company, to build a personalized housing portal for our programs. For more information, visit the housing portal page.
Family Resources
Starting a graduate degree program means a lot of changes for you but also for your family. Check out BU’s family resources to help make the transition easier for your family. Consult the new student guide for even more information.
BU Parking & Transportation
BU Parking & Transportation Services provides a list of student commuter benefits including discounted train/bus/subway passes, bicycling resources, the free BU Shuttle, electric vehicle charging stations, carpooling, and parking permits. The MBTA does not offer a Semester Pass during the summer months. If students are using the MBTA frequently, the most cost-effective option would be to purchase an unlimited ride pass each month directly from the MBTA.
The Questrom Common
The Questrom Common is your gateway to the Questrom graduate student experience. The Common will allow you to see and register for events, join student organizations, access resources, and connect with your community. You can view the public site questromcommon.bu.edu now to see our clubs and the calendar. After you have created your BU login, you will receive additional information and access to the site and our mobile app, which you will use during LAUNCH.

BU Student Health Services
The university requires health history information, alcohol and sexual assault prevention course completion, and immunizations (required by law). By law, these health requirements must be submitted before you can register for classes. Failure to complete the mandatory health requirements will result in a hold on your Student Account. While you will set up your BU e-mail account in June to complete this process, we highly recommend reviewing requirements – particularly related to immunizations – now.
Navigate to Student Health Services and click on “Getting Started,” followed by, “I need to complete my incoming health requirements.” This will direct you to the Health Requirements Guide and answer any questions you may have.
