TLA
The TLA is a team learning software program that better manages and maximizes team learning experiences, including team contract building, team check-points, peer feedback, action plans, and peer evaluation.
The TLA is designed for use by both faculty and students.
Faculty determine the use of TLA within their classes. They select assignments within TLA that enable them to monitor team and individual performance throughout the semester, based on desired learning outcomes and assessment needs.
Students will then use the TLA as a resource to build self-awareness and critical team management skills such as assigning roles and responsibilities, and giving and receiving feedback.
Team learning structures are built into the tool, allowing students to learn different team skills at each stage.
360-degree feedback reports assist both students and faculty with evaluating individual and team performance.
Organized by course section, TLA allows faculty to manage multiple sections or courses on one platform.
Everything, including resource sharing, assignment submission, and report generation can be completed through the TLA platform.
Faculty and students can view all of their classes that use the Team Learning Assistant (TLA) with one access. The TLA is used by multiple classes and programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Once purchased, students will have lifetime access to the TLA and can track their feedback and progress over multiple courses.

Student performance reports are separated into two parts: “How I rated my team” and “How my team rated me”. This format helps students to gain insight into how others perceive and evaluate their performance, and teaches them how to give more effective feedback.
Faculty members have access to all feedback reports, and can use this information to support teams, intervene when necessary, and to assist with assessment of student performance.
