The Questrom Registrar’s Office overseas the school’s room usage policies and procedures for Questrom course room assignments, and room reservations throughout the Hariri Building. Faculty, staff, and students can request the use of a classroom, conference room, team room, or event space according to the procedures below:
Room reservation procedures for:
Questrom faculty and staff members can use the Room Reservation Request Form to request a room for a meeting, midterm exam, review session, make-up exam, etc. This form can also be used to request HAR 114, HAR 105 (auditorium) on Monday through Thursday evenings, the computer teaching lab, the lounges, the undergrad TA offices, team rooms for classroom activities, the faculty/staff conference rooms.
The Questrom Registrar’s Office (QRO) works with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to assign classrooms to all Questrom courses and final exams (during the university’s final exam period). Your classroom assignment can be found on the Faculty Link.
Course room assignments are done in August for the following Spring semester, and in January for the following Fall semester. If you have a classroom-type preference, please let your department chair know before the QRO assigns rooms. If you would like to request a room change, please email the QRO at email@example.com. Please note, the room change deadline is generally two weeks before the start of the semester.
Final exam room assignments in done generally during the third week of the semester. If you would like to request a room change for your final exam, please email Becky DiMattia at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Office Hours: Please submit the Room Reservation Request Form to request to schedule your office hours in HAR 206A (undergrad TAs only) or HAR 427 (undergrad and grad TAs). Requestors are limited to one hour per week for each course section. TA office hours can also be held in other locations such as Starbucks or lounges. HAR 427 is also available for TAs on a drop-in basis.
Review sessions: TAs can use the Room Reservation Request Form to request a classroom for a review session.
- Meetings: The secretaries of SAO-approved student organization use 25Live to reserve classrooms for meetings. If an HAR room is not available, please search for available classrooms in other buildings. Please note, food/drink are prohibited in all BU classrooms.
- Events: To plan an event that requires food and/or set-up, please submit Questrom Events and Conferences’ Event Request Form.
- Tabling: To request a table set-up in the Chiles Atrium, please submit the Questrom Atrium Table Request Form.
Team rooms: Students enrolled in a Questrom course can reserve Hariri Building Team Room using the Team Room Reservation system. Please note, this is a day-of self-sign-up system.
Presentation practice: Students can reserve a team room to practice their presentation. Please note, classrooms are not available for students to practice their presentations.
