The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program offers students forgiveness of the remaining balance on their federal loans after they have made 120 (10 years) payments under a qualifying repayment plan. However, the loan will only be forgiven if students meet all PSLF Program eligibility conditions. Be employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or qualifying not-for-profit organization (federal service includes U.S. military service)
Work full-time for the federal or non-profit agency or organization
Repay your loans under an income-driven repayment plan or a Standard Repayment Plan.
Make a total of 120 qualifying monthly payments that need not be consecutive.
