Request an Affiliate or Guest Account
Please use Boston University’s account request portal to request an Affiliate or Guest account.
BU Login required. The request portal is a protected BU service. Sign in with your BU credentials to view the available account-request options and submit the appropriate form.

After signing in, BU’s account portal provides different request types depending on the kind of account or access you need.
Affiliate Account Application
Use the Affiliate Account Application when an individual needs a BU account because of an affiliation with the University but is not receiving a standard student, faculty, or staff account.
Shared Account Creation
Shared accounts are intended for a group, department, project, or organization that needs an account not associated with a single person.
BEFORE YOU START
Have the Request Details Ready
The BU request forms ask for information about the person or group receiving access and the purpose of the account.
Requestor Information
Be prepared to identify the person responsible for requesting or sponsoring the account.
Account Purpose
Describe why the account is needed and what University activity, department, group, or project it supports.
Requested Access
Depending on the request, you may be asked which BU services or resources the account needs to access.
Approvals
Some account or resource requests may require sponsorship or approval before access can be provisioned.

What is an Affiliate account?
