Our Mission

The Health & Life Sciences Conference reflects the efforts of Health Sector Management MBA students at the Questrom School of Business.

The Conference aims to elevate the level of discussion around the ever-changing needs and trends of the US health sector, to convene experts across the healthcare ecosystem, and to foster collaborative conversations.

We hope this Conference invigorates current health sector leaders and inspires the future generation to come together to address the challenges, and opportunities in this complex and constantly evolving field.

 

2022 Conference Team

Alexa Bragg

Alexa Bragg is a second-year MBA student in the Health Sector Management Program at Questrom. She graduated from Gordon College with a BS in Biology and International Affairs. Before Questrom, she worked for the Department of Family of Medicine at Boston Medical Center as a Research Coordinator and Grants Administrator. She has co-authored two research articles and hopes to pursue a career in health service research to develop equitable care delivery models.

Emily Weinberg

Emily Weinberg is a second-year MBA student in the Health Sector Management program at Questrom. She graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in Economics. Before coming to Questrom, Emily worked at Google working in digital growth strategy for high potential early and late stage startups. In addition, she did a part-time project for the Verily Life Sciences Product Operations and Program Management team where she supported Verily Healthy @ Work, COVID-19 program. This summer Emily worked in commercial strategy & operations at Ginkgo Bioworks. After business school, Emily plans to be full-time at her own biotech startup.

Charmaine Ho

Charmaine Ho is a second-year Health Sector MBA student at Questrom. She graduated from University Malaysia Sabah with a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition. Before Questrom, she worked at ASP Medical Group, a healthcare company focusing on Managed Care and Digital Health. There, she focused on marketing activities and healthcare solutions for corporate clients and national agencies. She also provides nutrition advice to clients who require them. Charmaine did her summer internship in CVS Health and post graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in the healthcare delivery space.

Samantha Krivensky

Samantha Krivensky is a second year MBA/MPH dual degree student at Boston University. Her concentrations are in Health Sector Management and Pharmaceutical Development, Delivery and Access, respectively. Before coming to BU, she worked as a clinical research project manager at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she operationalized a number of research protocols investigating rare, early-onset  neurodegenerative disease. Samantha’s summer internship was at Novartis, and post-grad she hopes to enter the pharmaceutical industry within clinical trial management, with the goal of optimizing data collection in clinical populations to improve patient access.

Alexander Morgart

Alexander Morgart is a first-year MBA student focusing on Healthcare Management at Questrom School of Business. He Graduated in 2017 from Quinnipiac University with a BS in Health Sciences. Before attending Questrom, he worked for 5+ years as a first responder, diabetes researcher, and clinical healthcare educator. During his time in the healthcare field, he worked to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of every healthcare user and what areas can be improved. In the coming months, he is applying for internships better to enhance his knowledge of the business side of healthcare.

Dipankar Dutta Chowdhury

Dipankar Dutta Chowdhury is a 1st year Health Sector MBA/MS in Digital Technology dual degree student at Boston University. He graduated from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India in 2010 with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has 11+ years of experience across industrial engineering operations, supply chain, procurement, contract management and Human Resources in India’s largest energy conglomerate, National Thermal Power Corporation. He has worked with several healthcare providers in India as a part of the COVID committee of a Hydro Power Project to supply essential medical supplies to people in the community. Post MBA, Dipankar hopes to pursue a career as Consultant in the Healthcare Industry.

Yelim Woo

Yelim Woo is 1st year Health Sector MBA/MS in Data Science dual degree student at Boston University. She worked as sales and marketing in multiple sectors in healthcare; preventive medicine, diagnosis, and surgical device over 10 years since graduated from Yonsei University in South Korea with BS in Biochemistry. She embraced challenges and changes while transitioning from giant global companies such as Johnson & Johnson Medical and Olympus to dynamic biotech start-up named Macrogen and managing regional and global marketing. With her MBA/MS degree, she hopes to continue to work in health sector to make technology approachable and viable for general public in devotion to make people healthier and their lives happier.
