Dr. Rick Smith

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rick Smith as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Dr. Rick Smith, Deputy Dean, Programmes, Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB), Singapore Management University (SMU). Rick’s research and teaching interests are focused on strategic leadership and organisational effectiveness. Rick is an advisory board member for The Young Entrepreneurs Society, Villanova University, Singapore Roller Sports Federation, and SSI Asia Pacific Limited. Rick was a founding partner of the consulting firm Accenture and previously worked with multi-national companies across Europe and the Americas.

Dr. Julie Davies

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Julie Davies as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Dr. Julie Davies, Subject Group Leader, Research & Enterprise, Huddersfield Business School, UK. Julie leads an EU project (SHARPEN) on HRM in regional SMEs and ‘ward of the future project’ at Airedale Hospital. She is a trustee of Kirkwood Hospice, practitioner Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Association of University Administrators. Julie has co-facilitated the AAPBS deans’ programme since 2017.

Currently, she is co-authoring a book on Leading Business Schools with Howard Thomas and Rolf Cremer. Julie worked at UCL, SOAS, City University, Birkbeck, the OU and National Health Service

Professor Houmin Yan

We are pleased to welcome Professor Houmin Yan as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Professor Houmin Yan, Chair Professor of Management Sciences and Dean of the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining CityU, he served as Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and as Associate Director and Science Advisor for the Hong Kong R&D Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies. Professor Yan also worked as a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. Professor Yan’s main research areas are stochastic models, simulations, and supply chain management.

Dr. Yupin Patara

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Yupin Patara as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Dr. Yupin Patara, Assistant Professor, Sasin School of Management, Thailand. Yupin’s research interest is marketing strategy, specifically branding and pricing strategy. Her teaching interests include marketing management, brand management and pricing strategies. Yupin was a Visiting Scholar at Kellogg School of Management and ESSEC School of Business, Asia-Pacific Campus, Singapore. Prior to joining Sasin, Yupin was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at Rutgers University, and an Instructor at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Yupin regularly teaches in China and Myanmar.

Professor Wensheng He

We are pleased to welcome Professor Wensheng He as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Professor Wensheng He, Dean, School of Management, Lanzhou University, China. He serves as the Panel Member of International Institute of Administrative Science-IIAS, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Executive Council Member of Chinese Public Administration Society (CPAS). Wensheng He holds a doctoral degree in public administration from Lanzhou University. He focuses on the research and teaching in the fields of government performance management, public governance evaluation, privatization, and strategic management in public sectors and leadership.

Professor Sin Hoon

We are pleased to welcome Professor Sin Hoon as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Professor Sin Hoon, Deputy Dean, NUS Business School, Singapore, was previously Dean and Head of Decision Sciences. He recently completed his second term as a member of the National Productivity Council. Currently, he chairs the Management Board of the Paya Lebar Methodist Girls School and is an independent director on the board of Tembusu Partners Pte Ltd. Before joining the University, Prof. Hum worked as a Systems Engineer in the Ministry of Defence. He consults on the design and usage of the Balanced Scorecard.

Professor Rebecca Chunghee Kim

We are pleased to welcome Professor Rebecca Chunghee Kim as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Professor Rebecca Chunghee Kim is Director of the Media Resource Center, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and Professor in the College of International Management. Previously, Rebecca taught at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, University of Strathclyde, and the University of Edinburgh in business ethics, management of international relationships, cross cultural management, international human resource management, and CSR. Rebecca also worked in diplomacy, government, NGO and CSR consulting.

Professor Kenji Yokoyama, President of AAPBS and Vice-President, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University

We are please to welcome Professor Kenji Yokoyama as a facilitator for the Asia-Pacific Jam! Professor Kenji Yokoyama, President of AAPBS and Vice-President, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. Kenji was formerly Dean of APU School of Management. He joined APU in 2000. Previously, Kenji was a journalist for three years before he began his career as an educator in 1983. He is a member of JUAA’s (Japanese Universities Accreditation Association) Business School Division. Kenji’s research interests include institutional studies of export/import transactions.
